Language Arts & Writing

My name is Lauren, and although I will be going into my 4th year of teaching, this will be my 2nd year at BBA. I attended University of Saint Joseph where I received my teaching certification and a Bachelors in English. I recently earned my Masters in Educational Psychology at UConn. Throughout my teaching career, I’ve always been interested in how educational technology can be utilized in the classroom to improve accessibility and promote active engagement in the language arts content area.

As a language arts teacher, I’m passionate about exploring the ways in which literature and storytelling allows us to connect with others. I always look forward to the diverse perspectives and connections that my students bring to our literary discussions. Being a lifelong learner myself, I am constantly learning from my students and their stories!

In my free time I like to hike, read, and try new coffee shops in the Connecticut area. I’m always on the hunt for the perfect iced chai latte. I’m looking forward to what this year has to bring!

Thanks, Lauren Pelletier
