Gail is the Executive Director/CEO of Ben Bronz Foundation, Inc. Gail joined the Ben Bronz family in July, 2021. Gail strongly believes in the Ben Bronz mission and vision that all students can learn and that they deserve the opportunity to succeed. To this end, she has devoted her professional career to helping students overcome barriers, instilling confidence in students, and ensuring students’ success.

Gail started her career as a paraprofessional and has had the privilege of working with students demonstrating a variety of needs. As a classroom teacher for many years, she effectively implemented research-based teaching strategies. As a Special Education Department Chair, she was instrumental in creating a district-wide inclusion service delivery model, and she provided district-wide professional development in the implementation of targeted intervention strategies.

As an instructional leader, Gail has spearheaded the Strategic Planning process and its implementation with the goal of aligning systems and frameworks to the vision and mission of a school district. She has taken deep dives into curriculum, content, scope, and sequence and their implementation in classrooms. She has ushered in restorative practices with children and has highlighted social emotional-learning and using a trauma informed lens. She has also been able to participate in longitudinal research studies conducted to improve long-term educational outcomes for students with language processing deficits.

Throughout her career, Gail’s knowledge and expertise have been regularly solicited by district personnel, administrators, service providers, colleagues, and parents in order to improve learner outcomes.

Most recently, Gail served as the Superintendent and Special Services Director for a small rural school district in Eastern Connecticut.

Gail earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from UCONN. She also completed the Executive Leadership Program at UCONN in order to obtain her Superintendent certification. Gail earned her Master’s Degree in Special Education from California State University Northridge, and her Bachelor’s Degree from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut.
