A Message from the Chief Operating Officer
When thinking about the 2021-2022 school year, I first want to express my deep appreciation for our strong team of office and support staff. The hard work of the office and support staff should be regularly acknowledged, but I feel this is especially important this year as we navigated through many changes.
This year Elaine Hanscom started
a new role as Executive Assistant while we also saw the start of our new Administrative Assistant, Araceli Lagunes-Bennet after Katie Butterfield’s departure. Elaine took a lead role in the implementation of our new student information system, including troubleshooting as we adapted to the new system. When Araceli joined us, she quickly acclimated to the position and has since become a wonderful new member of the team.
Greg Fraczek is our Network and Computer Systems Administrator, but I feel he can be better described as the school’s IT Extraordinaire. Greg maintains our IT network while also helping as our ad hoc audio visual engineer, as well as helping with security and as an occasional carpenter, like when he helped rebuild the deck in the courtyard. And our Facility Manager, Richard Madera, has gone above and beyond countless times since
he started with us in November of 2020. We are fortunate to have his knowledge and work ethic supporting us in such a crucial role.
Some years ago, our Bookkeeper, Daryl Blinn, and I once shared the same supervisor. I cannot express how grateful I am for our many years together of growth and learning since. While we all appreciate Daryl a great deal, it is important to recognize that I especially appreciate how much Daryl has helped the school continue to succeed. Her support has been vital.
To return to her roots as an educator, Erin Wood took an opportunity to move out of her position as our Marketing and Communications Coordinator to become a mediator for the Academy. With the timing of this change coinciding with the finalization of our strategic plan, we revised the position to focus on development. Then in July, we welcomed our newest team member,
Emily Pavano, as our Development and Marketing Coordinator!
Finally, a statement about the Academy: The 2021-2022 school year continued the Academy’s

This achievement was due to generous support and hard work of our parents, staff, and Board Members. Without them, this would not have
been possible. Furthermore, this year the lease for the facility was officially extended to 2028. As we look towards the future of the Academy’s ongoing growth and success, we are secure in our home at 11 Wampanoag Drive.
